Fuga is a performance based on running, which becomes a metaphor for a paradoxical existential condition: that of someone who moves while remaining still, fleeing from themselves and their circumstances, in search of a well-being that is always just out of reach. A treadmill training session becomes the occasion for an imaginative drift, accompanied by sounds drawn from baroque music and the world of entertainment, capable of rewriting the very meaning of athletic practice. With this project, the artistic duo Palermo/Petrosino continues their exploration of the nature of performative acts starting from everyday life, giving shape to a minimal choreography of concrete gestures, between reality and fiction.
